Volunteering to help on the land

We believe strongly in responsible stewardship for the land with which we are entrusted. This means that we must care for out land, keep our impact minimal, and help the mountains heal from 200 years of human use. This perspective informs our approach to reducing dead undergrowth in order to reduce fire danger, working to make our trails beautiful and well designed, planting native plants, and many other activities.

We periodically organize work retreats, which blend meditation practices on the land with care for the land. Individuals can also choose personal projects and offer their service at any time. If this moves you, contact us and we’ll discuss the opportunities.
